The Fortress of Frost Fire

The Town of Frostfire is only important as it is located on one of the most important trade ways in the Winter Land called the Traders Way which stretches from The Frostwalker clan to the Flame Caln with the town in the centre. There is also a famous inn and tavern called the Silent Shadow where oftentimes you will find high ranking members of clans during the Time of Change. This town is probably the best place for adventurers to meet as it has all the adventuring gear you need.   The Fortress of Frost Fire is one of the larger forts due to the many chambers underneath it. It is only 100 feet high on the surface with its highest tower being 60 feet above that. The Fortress is empty most year-round (at least on the surface) it is also the most regularly chosen for the Time of Change however clearing it of monsters is always a hassle and many adventurers are hired to do it. Little is known about the history of the Fortress prior to the gods fall however it might be the youngest out of all the forts and it shows signs of once holding a portal to the Frostfell. The ruler of this is the Prince of Frost however he only walks around the corridors all day bitter. He is no threat unless you provoke him and he likes to listen in on meetings during the Time of Change. Finally, he has several servants in the Fortress that serve as his spies and some connections in the Winter Court.

Government

The small town is ruled by burgomaster Lavin Warren a gladiator from the Summer Lands, he and his family rule the town.

Defences

The town is surrounded by a low wood wall and has a trained garrison of 24 guards and 3 veterans they keep the peace and guard the walls. In times of need, 30 tribal hunters can be called upon.

History

The Town of Frostfire is not old. Named after the Fortress of Frost Fire the town was constructed in 76 A.D.I. but destroyed and rebuilt so often that the original town is remembered by only one person this version of the town was constructed in 143 A.D.I. as its last burgomaster was killed in the Frostfire massacre.

Tourism

This is a well-traveld town and so many different people and creatures come here.

Architecture

Almost all the buildings of the town are made of a stone foundation and wood walls and thatched roofs. The only buildings that are not like that are the lighthouse, the burgomaster's mansion and the Fortress of Frost Fire. The lighthouse is on a cliff and made of stone. It is older than any structure here except the Fortress of Frost Fire and it is locked after by one of the original citizens of this town of Frostfire.  The Burglemasters mansion is made of stone and has a tiled roof. Then there is the Fortress of Frost Fire. This is a massive structure and unlike the Fortress of Neverwinter which is the tallest, however, the Fortress of Frost Fire is taller if it is measured from the bottom because the majority is located underground with chambers and passageways all throughout the bedrock some areas even go beneath the surface of the water.

Geography
