Ishinet

The world of Ishinet is far more ancient than anyone living currently realizes. Numerous civilizations have risen and fallen in the world over hundreds of billions of years. Some far more advanced than currently imaginable, some never developing beyond a stone-age level of technology.  All of those civilizations have left artifacts behind and only the most learned of scholars have a fraction of an idea about the highs and lows of these civilizations.   In the current era of the world, the humanoid species are the most prevalent but by no means the only beings making a life for themselves. The only true nation is Uskal, owing largely to its central location.  Most people live in far-flung towns and villages and news travels slowly across the world.  Most of those people live in relative peace, but whether that peace is real or an illusion depends on who you talk to and what you believe.  After all, there are always those out to amass wealth and power and who are willing to use any and all means necessary to acquire it.
