"You have so much beauty in your world. This makes my obligations near impossible to carry out. I am truly sorry."
-The Lord of the Fallen
Iserath is an epic fantasy setting. A fantastical world that, in recent times, has been torn asunder by a dreadful power.   Iserath is an ancient land presided over by many kingdoms, empires, factions and people. The Great Four, as they are known, are the Dawnflame Empire, the Treikjorne Kingdoms, the Kingdom of Dalithar and the Ifritian Empire. They rule the vast majority of Iserath, but that is not to discount the significance of other states such as that of the orcish people or the draconians.   Some decades ago, when the world was rife with distrust, a fallen angel, known as the Lord of the Fallen, led a violent tirade against the land of Iserath, with his armies of other fallen celestial beings and dark creatures. His scourge across the land lasted for almost a year, before culminating in his defeat at the Siege of Khador, the capital of the Dawnflame Empire. It seemed that the Dawnflame Empire would fall that day, had it not been for many other armies from all across the land arriving to help push back the Lord of the Fallen. However, this great success came at the cost of the prince of Dalithar, Prince Glanduil. His twin sister, Queen Phyrra, had also fought in the battle.   In the death throes of the Lord of the Fallen, he brought his weapon, Godsbane, down upon the ground, channeling whatever energy he could into the strike. The action sent an intense tremor throughout all of Iserath, one that collapsed whole settlements and sunk cities into the ground.   The aftermath saw the world irrevocably altered, as huge land masses cracked and drifted away from the mainland where they came from. Whole seethes of land were lost as they drifted miles and miles from shore. Cities that survived the event became isolated island settlements in an instant. And now, decades on, though much of the physical damage has been repaired and lost settlements rediscovered, there is still much more to find again.
