Master Quill for a Master Wizard

Years have passed and a bond formed, between Vampire and Witch, between sovereign and vassel, between friends. Both are outcasts in their own right, but both hold power far beyond what anyone would have ever expected of such unwanted types of people. People speak of the Witch Queen and her pet vampire, but such sentiment can never explain the bond shared between this pair and two others.
The circlet of silver that rests on the head of Catherine Nightbreeze does not share its secret, nor its power, willingly. It is hidden, kept only by the Nightbreeze Family, but one other shares Legacy's, using his knowledge to craft his own secret archive, a seemingly mundane object that holds the history of their world.
With permission from Empress and friend, Alexander Cross crafted his own legacy, a quill known as Arcanum that would hold, and hide, his research, would hold the entirety of the Starlit Academy tucked in a pocketable bit of adamantite. With the aid of great friends, Arcanum came to be, another legacy of the four that brought the Witch Queen to power.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Arcanum is a magic quill that on the outside, looks like a mundane object other than the fact that it is made from adamantite. Internally, the quill is much more complex and an invention of Alexander Cross in his search to perfect his own version of the Empress' Legacy.
Essentially, the quill functions in the same way as Legacy, stockpiling memories, secrets, research, and other materials that Cross believes is necessary, not only for his work, but the continuation of the Starlit Academy. This information is stored in what is essentially another plane of existence, where Cross can view the information at his leisure as if in a library.

Significance

Cross has done a great deal of research into the magic of Isekai, which if in the wrong hands, could bring about another calamity like the Eldritch War. Because of this, only Cross has access to the information stored within Arcanum, but there are fail-safes in place in case something ever happens to him. In case of this, only one of the other four that helped Catherine gain her throne will be able to access the information.
