Irus

The world of Irus, is the home of many colorful races. Irus holds many kingdoms and many lands. The planet Irus, as it's called by most mortals, is a terrestrial planet in a huge solar system filled with twenty-one other planets. (Irus is about as big as Earth and its gravity is the same as that of Earth.)   A single day lasts 24 hours and a year lasts 364 days. Two moons, Straor and Ishrem, orbit the planet and Irus itself orbits a yellow sun in an elliptic orbit.   The plant-like organisms on this planet are made up of fungi, flowers, and trees you name it. In some lands, the fungi and flowers live in harmony with one another, which leads to interesting, intertwined growth patterns.   Many of the plant organisms want to prevent being eaten and many do so by growing thorns or excreting horrible tasting fluids, but other species which, need to be eaten to make sure the species survives. Once these species have grown to a mature size, they will stop regrowing. Instead, they will begin storing energy, which makes them more appealing to animals. Once animals begin eating them and eat enough of them, the energy stored deep within will be transferred to all the seeds, which will be released simultaneously. The seeds get stuck to the animals, who are too busy eating the parent and are taken with them. The extra energy stored within them will give a temporary growth boost in the vital first weeks.   The coral underwater is perhaps more astonishing than the organisms on the surface, which is because they look almost the same, especially from a distance. The corals underwater have shapes in every imaginable form, never will you find completely identical coral formations. But these shapes serve their purpose. Much like the trees on Earth grow leafed branches, the corals on this planet grow to huge sizes and have branches with specialized polyps.   This planet has an abundance of life in all shapes and sizes. Birds, reptiles, insects, fish, mammals, you name it. There are even a few dozen sentient species, most of them either reptilian or humanoid.   It is a world that has seen the destruction from war and the blossoming of peace, civilizations that have risen and fallen. Gods have lived, died, replaced, or reborn. Irus is a world where possibilities are endless and dreams, may only be hands reach away. In this world, you can always find a nook that suits you, but you can also always find trouble that follows. Dark corners surround the world, cloaked men and women, scour the shadows in search of treasures to change their destiny. All the while, adventurers, free and guild affiliated, travel to find fame and glory, to weave their names into the tapestry of history.
