Holdo Pass

Geography

The Holdo Pass is one of the routes connecting Micleta to its neighboring nation Zaartum, one that lies along the higher regions of Mt. Holdo.   A pass that cuts through the mountain, the Holdo Pass is significantly shorter but also much rougher, colder and more dangerous than the other path to Zaartum that runs around the mountain. Unless very well-prepared to travel and sleep during night in the frigid mountain terrains of Mt. Holdo, traversing the Holdo Pass is a journey of at least seven days of walking from one settlement to the next while the air is warm. This is a much shorter walk compared to the other path which takes around twelve days on foot. The rough terrain, sometimes thinning to merely an average sapien's shoulder width, also forbids carriages from passing, unlike the path through Alensus.

Fauna & Flora

A mountain pass through the higher regions of Mt. Holdo, the Holdo Pass is home to many goats and rams who wander the mountains. Along the pass are eight permanent settlements inhabited mostly by sapiens but also other species of humans.
