North of the Avian Wall requires Signet

A magical barrier keeps creatures from making it through the Avian Wall without being approved. It is what has kept the horrors of the Darkened North from overrunning Ill Holm.

Manifestation

A film of cerulean (blue-green, though more blue) energy appears along the path. A stone gatehouse lies crossing through it. There, as a character with a signet pushes on the barrier it will bulge out, looking like a bubble out of a bubble wand, until it pops and instantly reforms as a wall. Losing their signet on the other side of the wall means beating on the gatehouse and hoping a guard allows you in.
