Death of Quailarian Ankorra and Quailaria Shei Mei

Life, Death

(1716 C.E.)

Fall of the 13th Monarchy of Viniktaria, giving way to the 14th Monarchy under Dielkaire. This changed the course of history, as Dielkaire's aggressive leadership style made it so the Empire resumed their territorial ways, resuming forgotten plans of complete domination over neighboring civilizations.

The Quailarian and Quailaria of the period, Ankorra and Shei Mei, simultaneously contracted the bacteria known as Eid, a deadly disease known to compromise even a Viniktarian's invincible immune system. They fell victim to the Stage 4 variant, and were declared deceased 5-7 Earth months after exposure. Originally healthy Viniktarians, their deaths were extremely shocking to the public and their five sons, who along with the nation mourned over their sudden deterioration and death. This was the first time in the modern era that a Monarch had succumbed to disease, being that Viniktarians are rarely ill to this or any extent. After their passing, the lineage was directly moved on to their eldest son, Dielkaire. Their death is considered to signify the dawn of a new era, as Dielkaire resumed an aggressive conquering style seen in years past. However, such a major event does not come without suspicion; some claim that their death was an assassination attempt in order to put Dielkaire into power, as Shei Mei's influence made the nation passive--something that many political opponents despised. Another popular theory revolves around the initial contraction, as there were reports that Ankorra was the first to contract Eid, with Shei Mei following after thanks to participating in the traditional suicidal pact known as Kuwakk xi Kaluvander. Regardless, on an emotional level this impacted the Monarch's sons in a way none of them had ever experienced. While it brought them closer for a short period of time, Dielkaire's boost to fame eventually tore factions between the brothers, as they no longer had their parents to guide them.
