Ryokou and Orion's first encounter. Although accidental, their meeting changes the course of history, and will lead to the first minor victory against the Erok King and his reign.

While walking home from class down an alleyway shortcut, Ryokou crosses paths with Orion as he is...consuming a human corpse in his Viniktarian form. Alarmed, Ryokou flees while the Prince pursues her, eventually drawing attention from most of his brothers and many of Ryokou's closest friends and family. In order to escape death, Ryokou and her companions make a pact with Orion, Superior, Terra, and Nova to bond their Inner Cores (souls) in order to obtain supernatural abilities to protect them from the one enemy Viniktarians cannot face alone, Erok. This transition allows Orion and Terra to stay in Fukui, Japan, in Ryokou and Valentino's own home, while Superior hides in the outskirts of the forest in order to closely study human life, while both training their new human servants, and trying to discover Erok's weakness.
