Interstate 0
There is a road in America that can only be found by those sufficiently lost. A misread map and a wrong exit and you too might find yourself on Interstate 0, following signs West to Nowhere. It's a strange road, with strange towns and stranger people. Locals and roadside attractions hide many secrets, and you'll need more than a map if you ever want to go Anywhere; for the road is long and winding and if you follow it far enough you will always end up right where you began.
Geography
As you travel West, you might at first find yourself in densely forested hills that seem to enclose you in a pleasant tunnel of green. Further on, the trees will thin and give way to farms and parries as the ground flattens until it looks like the horizon is an eternity away. The plains will dry and the hills will return as you climb up in elevation through the buffeting winds of high desert foothills that smell like sage. Beyond them is a winding pass through jagged mountains, flanked on one side by rocky cliffs, and the other by splendid overlooks of alpine forest. Further West the topography will calm and the evergreen trees will blend into deciduous, as the surroundings become all together - perhaps unnervingly - familiar.

History
Some of the residents of the towns that dot Route 0 are travelers who've settled in. Others can trace their families back here for generations. At the beginning of most stories someone got lost, but most found a home all the same.
Tourism
Some of the people of Interstate 0 have taken a liking to setting up various roadside attractions, both to alleviate boredom and to attract the attention of new travelers who find themselves on the road.
