a-Sahrat Nifa

Geography

a-Sahrat Nifa, or a-Nifa, begins right outside a-Jadar, and stretches on for miles and miles. Flat, desert lands, with ne'er a hill or tree in sight. Nothing to soften the harshness of its terrain. Just yellow sand, under a blistering sun.

Fauna & Flora

Nothing grows or thrives in this terrain. For, even with the desert and sun notwithstanding, any energy or life force emanating from an animal or plant would be sucked in by the beast residing under the surface of the plains. It is an Ifrit, a demon creature from another world - summoned, and subsequently imprisoned by al-Malik (with sahar aswad), and made to devour any being that dared to cross its path. It can grow big enough to shroud the sun in shadow. It is made of wind, and bleeds fire.
