• Mortle HATES reading; prefers 'oral history'
• Mortle is scared of open water, drowning, and sea monsters (presumably related to the Schism near the Snout of Omgar, his homeland wary of sea travel (although he can hold his breath for up to 1 hour)
• Mortle has a checkered past with some of the other druid circles; he's friends with the Circle of the Mountain by out of necessity
