Pheromone Interpreter
Once a necessary profession for any who would deal with blockheads to have on-hand, the pheromone interpreter has seen diminished demand since the invention of Blockhead Signlang, kept afloat solely by: those either too lazy or just psychologically unable to learn another language or those who need to communicated with, say, Slatespawn, Ashlings, Midnighters, or the occasional Palespawn.
Any individual with a vagina and a lot of bravery can become a pheromone interpreter. All that such an individual needs to do is convey to a blockhead that she is interested in being unbirthed such that the necessary modifications could be made to her nether physiology through the same process which converts blockhead sires to bearers. A bedicked member of any species could technically undergo the process too, but it tends to try to get rid of a horn that isn't there, so the skull starts opening up where it shouldn't.
Career
Qualifications
Fluency in at least one language and nerve enough to crawl inside a blockhead.

Pheromone interpreters tend to be kept on retainer with a decent salary.

Knowledge of one's employer's business practices with the blockheads.
Perception
Purpose
The interpreter bridged the gap between blockheads and the rest of the species of Inom. Both sides could now speak, in a sense.
Social Status
Interpreters are generally forgotten in society these days, as only the lazy, the unable to learn, and the extensively diplomatic have any use for them.
Demographics
Less than half a percent.
History
Interpreters became a thing when blockheads first unbirthed the aliens they crushed on and decided to look into rendering these aliens compatible. They managed to successfully reassemble the nethers of their objects of affection, and dialogue first began. Then later on BHSL was invented, rendering the occupation limited in utility.

None but the physiological change.

Writing implements can be helpful when written correspondence is insisted upon.

Wherever the blockhead is.
Provided Services
Two-way translation in any number of languages.
Dangers & Hazards
Well, interpreters employed to communicate with the more hostile tribes are inherently put at risk.
Type
Financial / Trade
Demand
It's a luxury that few desire.
Legality
Almost entirely legal. It presents ethical problems for Slatespawn and Ashlings, however, but the former simply inform the interpreter that they do not wish to deal with aliens and the latter tend to ignore their eithical concerns and eat the interpreter anyways.
