Simon Rithers

Born in Ardwel, Simon was inspired to join the church by his father - a devoted cathar. Simon was stationed for many years as a masoleum guard in The Nearheath.
His father had been stationed in Ardwel when he met Simon's mother. They had two children, Simon and his younger brother Becker. Years after his father had passed and Simon was working as a guard his mother fell ill. Becker was convinced that the only way to save her was through a Skabaren, but through deception his mother was immediately killed. Both brothers took the loss hard, Becker moving to their parents home, and Simon petioning the church for more responsibility.

I hope this letter reaches you in good health. My name is Simon Rithers and I have over the last three years served as an officer overseeing the security for mausoleums of the southern Gavony towns and villages. Our duty requires that we have patience and vigilance to defend against an enemy that has the luxury of a predictable target and I can no longer sit idle for evil to find us.
During my service I have left my mother in the care of my younger brother. In this time of absence my mother had fallen ill and my brother thought it best to hide this from me. In his weakness, my brother was fooled by a wicked Skabaren who promised our mother would recover under his care. This skabaren returned my mother as some wicked creation and though my brother escaped with his life, I cannot linger while the man who murdered my mother is still alive and advancing his sinful trade.
And so I beseech you, relieve me of my post and entreat the angels to bless my quest to kill this man and any other who would harm the good people of this realm.
