Personal history

Selene, born Selene Liselore de Vries, was the eldest daughter to a wealthy family in Amsterdam. Her life wasn't easy, however. Her dad abused both her and her younger sister, Soe. Their mother wasn't present for most of their lives, as she was being treated for a psychosis in Eastern Europe.
After years of bad business decisions and alcohol abuse by their father, the family eventually fell apart financially. In a final desperate act, he sold both his daughters to a family friend, Mr. Beckstrand.
Both sisters were Embraced by the Toreador kindred and things were looking up for Selene and Soe. That was until Selene learned of his plans to use Soe as an escort girl. Mr. Beckstrand had a terrible accident and Selene moved into his old studio and renovated it. Soe went on to travel Europe.
Selene still runs her own club, "Club Static" and hosts art soirees and trades.
