Personal history
Born Angelina Raneri on January 27, 1965 in Leiden, The Netherlands. Angela is part Italian (her grandfather was fully Italian, her father half Italian) and part Dutch (her mother was fully Dutch). She was a bit of an outsider in her family due to her uncommon interests. Even as a child she was obsessed with electronics, and was always doing chores to fund her hobbies. At the age of 13, she was able to buy a secondhand IBM 5100 computer, which only increased her obsession.
By the late 1980’s Angela was using the internet extensively, and was even able to find her way into encrypted databases. Somewhere in the obscure depths of the young internet, she found references to something called “SchrekNet”. Naturally, she became interested, and started digging deeper. Eventually, in late 1993, she was able to access a couple low security databases in this Nosferatu operated network. Immediately, local Nosferatu’s caught on, monitored her for a short while, and then revealed themselves to Angela, siring her into the clan.
Normally, being sired into clan Nosferatu is quite the adjustment for the unlucky individual. Angela didn’t seem to have much issue with it, however. She never really fit in with her peers, enjoying a more solitary lifestyle. This new ‘life’ only granted her more opportunities to work with more advanced technology and increase her skills.
In the early 2000s, she worked closely with other members of her clan to develop SchrekNet 2.0, which allowed for tighter security, and hid it even more from the mortal eye. This cemented her position within the Camarilla, and she enjoys many freedoms resources in her haven deep within the sewers of Amsterdam.
