Imperial Entanglements

The Empire's rise to power is nearly complete. Practically unopposed by the nascent Rebel Alliance, the Emperor has taken almost complete control of the Senate and imposed an imperialist rule over the planets of the galactic core. Seeking to increase its reach, the iron fist spreads steadily outward to the unruly Outer Rim.   At the edge of this tide lies the Centares system, traditionally a last port of call for those on the edge of civilized space. Here, fringers, outlaws, and lost souls seem to drift before spreading out in the expanse to find or lose themselves. This is the place where crime lord Nak Fik has built a modest empire of his own, and he isn't planning on rolling over before the Empire without a fight.   With a ragtag team of fixers at his side, Nak Fik plays every advantage and ally he can find to make sure he and his will be able to thrive in this rapidly changing world, even if it means standing up to the Empire itself. Those who team up with him find themselves caught between feuding crime lords, on the run from the Empire, unable to trust their allies, and running from their own pasts. But by banding together out on the edge of space, they may yet carve out a life for themselves in this galaxy in turmoil.
