The Ruling Class

The Anoterum s a collective of elites, the cream of the crop, the higher echelons of society who believe the world shouldn't be run by those with such short sighted views. The mortals who become kings, queens, and emperors reign only for themselves, spending most of the resources at their disposal waging pointless wars over pride, and erecting monuments in their image to gain a semblance of immortality.

The Anoterum believe that those who have a much longer and further view, such as Immortals, should be the ones who run things. Which is exactly what the Anoterum do, just in secret, by manipulating the ruling class, and attempting to create butterfly effects to gain the momentum they need to have things go in their favor.

While Most of it's members are Higher class merchants, and Nobles, quite a few are what some would call "of a lower station" who share the same world view; that mortals will lead their domain into ruin, and that immortals should rule and be in charge.
