Immer

Many eons ago, when life was young and the gods already old, the planes of existence were being molded and filled with the god’s creations. There came the ancient races of the Fae, Mother Nature and dominion of chaos, and many millennia later, the humanoid races. However, this process was not without dissent; among them existed jealous gods, envious of their peers creations. One such god, Immerask, stole copies of the other gods creations in order to build a world of his own in his own plane of existence. That world became known as The World of Immer; a disc-world sitting atop of a giant space whale known as Lotan. The world is overflowing with magic and chaotic elements; for our jealous god had to over-compensate to make his world stable and livable for the stolen races of the other planes. The ball of eternal fire which rotates around the disc is his answer for the sun. Three moons; Oculi, Auribus, and Os rotate with the ball of eternal fire around the great disc, and are believed to help equalize the gravity. I wished to have the campaign setting on Terry Pratchett’s world, the discworld, which resides atop of a giant turtle named A’Tuin. However, we weren’t sure of legalities of this, and since we were publishing this as a podcast at the time, we wanted to play it safe. Therefore, consider our World of Immer a nod to Terry Pratchett’s discworld, a series of tales we have the utmost admiration for.
