Licking Wounds

General Summary

On the 24th of the Divine moon, the provisional adventurers had just gathered their bearings after exploring the strange undiscovered cave they have been spending time in. After a light mining day, they discovered that the safer area in the mouth of the cave is beginning to run a little low on the resources they needed, and thus chose to keep diving deeper. Upon walking into a webbed tunnel, Scrap and Dahlia discover a giant spider, a pair of rust monster young, and a strange skeleton that was seemingly commanding them or at least corraling them as a form of protection. After informing their party members, they all jumped into action attacking the magical undead and its arachnid pets. After narrowly defeating their foes, Scrap found himself almost dead via impalement and poisoning from the giant spider and momentarily paralyzed. Upon the completion of a short break to treat their wounds and to let Scrap recover the party decides to check out the tunnel through which the skeletal mage attempted to flee through. Deciding to be cautious, Malik decided it would be best if he went ahead by himself to look at what was going on. Astounded by the sight of skeletons mining in perfect sync with one another, Malik's eyes were drawn to a tall slender dark blue tiefling of undetermined gender speaking to a palm-sized red orb. After steeling their nerves, the party decides to engage with the strange tiefling and walks through the hallway of skeletons pleasantly finding that the undead were too focused on their tasks to engage with the party. After a lengthy discussion on what each other was doing here, the tiefling named Murcielago explained that he was there to forge armor for mud golems and create armaments to supply future servants of his unseen employer. Under the tiefling's wicked spell, Scrap approached Murcielago and was persuaded to touch the mysterious orbs seeing visions of a large boar-like figure and a feeling of a deep horrible gnawing hunger spreading through his body. But, just as quickly as it came after seeing visions of the large figure devouring what Scrap could only assume was a soul, the hunger was sated. After a weak sales pitch by Murcielago the party finds out that his employer seeks to end all starvation and hunger through the sacrifice of a living soul and its consumption by the great demon. After shaking off the effects of a potential curse Scrap's allies sprung into action fighting a fierce battle against Murcielagos skeletal servants and zombie guard dogs almost losing Virahel the keeper of Quackers in the process, thankfully with the medical expertise of Scrap her life was spared that day. Choosing to capture Murcialgo instead of vanquishing him, the party returned triumphantly to the city of Illyria.
