The Blight

Also known as the Frostblight, Corruption or the Unmaking, the Blight is the name given to the dark force that spreads out from The Unmakers prison. Most have only experienced the edges of it's power, corrupting and twisting, and the monstrosities that emerge seem to still resemble what entered. In reality this is simply the first stage of unmaking, of never existing in the first place. Memories, physical form and impact all removed, reality rewrote to remove that which enters from existence. This is why few know what exists to the north, as for them, it never existed in the first place.
Many venture in, hearing of great treasure and artifacts. Few return. Those who do speak of creatures of vast power, terrifying visages and the land itself turning on them. A black line of rot marks where the Blight creeps ever so slowly southward. The twisted monstrosties that venture southward are mostly kept at bay by the Praetors of Light
"Blight take you" is a curse that is often said in The Nation of Ameril.
