Windbreakers
So called because the incredibly strong winds coming in from the south are rebuffed by the mountains. The southern paths that wind across the mountains are extremely dangerous, whilst within the range itself the air is calm and peaceful. The southern faces of the mountain have been shaped by winds over millenia, resulting in twisting spires, incredibly sharp outcroppings, and unnatural cupola-shaped indents in the sides of the rock.
In the middle of the range on a lone peak in the middle of a surrounding bowl of mountains is the white temple of [NAME], stretching up to the sky, an oasis of calm in the raging torrent of the gales.
