The Whirlpool

Formed by the evil cloud giants of Zendíron to imprison a powerful storm giant locked underneath in the centre of the whirl.
The storm giant, Arastandar, came to Zendíron 1200 years ago and condemned the giants for their creation of storms purely for their own greed. Arastandar felled many cloud giants, but their number overcame her and she was imprisoned below a whirlpool with an eye one league across and with arms 15 miles across. A side-effect of Arastandar's stasis below the waves is a dramatically-slowed ageing process, and she has far-outlived the normal lifespan of storm giants.
