The Saironnar's Reply
''We, the Saironnar of the Mountains, have read Iter Laku Soksau's most recent proclamation. However, in it we have found many inaccuracies and poorly expressed concepts, and thus have deemed it necessary to correct them''.A rather well known document from history, the Saironnar's Reply is a fairly controversial text. Written over 3 centuries ago as a reply to one of Iter Laku Soksau's proclamations by a group hostile to him, many see it as either an affront against their god or a delightful attempt against tyranny.-first lines of the document
Context
Murdered!
''(Kion, with a broken voice): Laku, I bring you news. Those rogues entered your son's- (Soksau, interrupting him): Cease, I know what you will tell me. I know that if I let you speak you will kill my son, so please I beg you to keep silent. Let him at least be alive in my mind''.The document to which they were replying was written due to the Saironnar's assassination of I.L Soksau's last surviving child. They carried out this murder in order to send the aging emperor a message, that, regardless of how many times he defeated them in battle, he would never be safe from them.-excerpt from theatre play
Soksau's Proclamation
''I, Iter Laku Soksau, emperor of Ikaharin, chainbreaker, guarantor of rights, toppler of thrones, upholder of Nature's Law, who rules by the people and the Divine's will, thus speak these words''.The document in question, published shortly after the magnicide, was a proclamation that ought to be read in every city's central square. In essence, it talked about the gravity of the crimes committed by, in the emperor's words:-first lines of the proclamation
''Rogues of the Mountain''Furthermore, it promised great punishments and tortures for the perpetrators, promising the full weight of the state would fall upon them. The Saironnar, of course, took that as a challenge.
Popular reception
Blasphemy
''Unsurprisingly, due to Iter Laku Soksau's deification after his death, many people aren't really fond of the text.
Lovely
''For those who have a negative opinion of the aristocracy (and are literate enough to read it), the Reply is a lovely document. An answer of the oppressed against the elite's tyranny.
