Elf

Elves were some of the first people to show up on the new world, they were at first the children of the fae and humans but the fae blood flowed strong and they became their own race. The fae are the ones that blessed them with their gifts along with their grace. Elves were most;y found in tribes and small towns and cites in the forest in early days, they preferred nature over the man made. Some elves around this point started studying magic and it became infused with their blood and made High Elf
Meanwhile the elves in the woods grow even closer to them and became Wood Elf, some lived on islands and boats and that is where the Sea Elf are from. Some elves stayed close with fae and became Eladrin. And as for the last sub-race, elves see a lot of death, they live so long and some make it habit of making friends with beings with much shorter lifespans, that meant there were many elves that got a chance to meet The Raven Queen and some choice to become her servent in trade for the life of their friend, these elves are known as Shadar-kai
