the shining city and the capital of Adrya, it holds the wealth of the country and is the middle point of the map. It is known to be a city full of opportunity for all sorts of people and it is the forefront of innovation but laying right under the spick and shine is the biggest criminal underground of the country where gangs and thieves guilds run the slums and the guards are powerless to stop them.

Demographics

The inner circle of the city is where the castle is and where the rich live. It mostly houses human's and elfs with very few of anything else though a few people of other races live there
Then the middle of the city is pretty diverse in where the people and money is, off on the southern east side is a bunch of slums with half orcs, dwarfs, tieflings, half elves, and other outcasts in wihch The Blackend Hand works and has base in
Then the northern east part is mostly a shopping area with many guards around the place as a training house for them is there and it houses many dwarfs and in fact has a area known as ruby town whitch is an area under dwarven control, it also has a lot of humans and gnomes and halflings
The southern west side is another slum but under the control of many smaller gangs and it is almost always in one gang war or another. It also houses alot of outcasted races like ones that don't have very big populations like tieflings, half orcs and full orcs, dragonborn, drow, and many others as well
The northern west side is a middle class mainly residential space, it houses mainly humans, elves, and halflings
The southern side mostly is home to many schools and guild hq's so it has a large verity of people living there and is a pretty fair mix though humans do tend to out number any other race
The northern side is almost purely shopping space of the middle class but some shop owners live at their place of work so again it is a mix of people

Government

The current king is also the person that runs the city with help of a council that he does not realize is being manipulated by The Blackend Hand, the council are the ones that decide how the city will be ran and the taxation of the people of the city. They also are the ones in charge of the city's money and are the ones that chose where the money goes
The council members are chosen out by the king and the princess every 5 years though as of late nobody has been removed even after many bad things were said about one of the members.
The people under the council include the leader of the city guard, all guild masters, the headmasters of the schools, and a few other less importamt things as well
How ever in the slums the law tends to come from one of the gangs unless it gets very out of hand, in the eastern slums The Blackend Hand rule and are lead by The Watcher

Defences

The whole city besides the outskirts have a grand wall around it with gates that are always manned, and those walls have outposts and guard on them at all times as well
Then the inner city has it's own wall and guard

Industry & Trade

It is the trade hub of the country and is a sea side city with farms on the outskirts, it is also the place with the most innovation in science and magic

History

The city started small as they often do as people came to fish and to farm but it soon grew and helping that many magic ruins were found nearby and that brought in the magic folk who truly brought life to the city. Soon enough one of these magic familes took charge and has kept it through the generations

As the city got larger more crime came to the city and The Blackend Hand formed though at the time they were known as The Gods Hand and were on the side of the city and dealt in the shady side of things for the royal family but when the people found out the royals told the city that they had nothing to do with the hand and publicly denonnced them and started sending the guard after them and they took on the name The Blackend Hand

The city stood during the troubled times and was wrecked apart by the gods and by the people, the inner city was made during this time and was blessed by the gods to be a safe space for them but once the fighting was over the castle was moved there and the rich moved in
