The Plandaplur plant or "Dwarven Wheat" is a type of grain that grows primarily underground. They grow in areas of softer soil and from the light of Werno Stones.
History & Usage
Cultural Significance and Usage
In the several Dwarven fortresses, Plandaplur farms are made from carving out layered complexes for compact farming. Gnomish machinery is used to help harvest and process this plant.
Refinement
It is these grains that are used in the production of many Dwarven ales. It is also used in the production of breads, most commonly for Miner's Bread.
Distribution
Trade & Market
This plant is not commonly traded outside of the Dwarven fortresses in an unprocessed state. In daylight, the plant's lifespan drops. Miner's Bread and Dwarven Ales are what is more commonly distributed.
Storage
Plandaplur has to be dried and stored in a cool dry location. Generally, they are stored in solid stone containers to avoid attracting Tollain Worms.
