Basic Information

Biological Traits

An incredible species of succulent, the Inuwaily Sumpervivium has a pattern similar to the land-dwelling sumperviviums. It has a tough outer skin and puts its roots down in soil of brine pools. It absorbs water and nutrients through its surroundings, storing them in its leaves. The contents undergo a natural form of fermentation.

Ecology and Habitats

The Inuwaily Sumpervivium grows exclusively in brine pools. With very little natural predators, they can grow in an abundance. The only predators that they have are the underwater races that have learned to cultivate them for alcoholic gels and the Paka Crab.   The Inuwaily has formed a symbiotic relationship with the Death Mantle Octopus which feeds on the Paka Crabs and is deadly to other creatures. The Death Mantle Octopus can often be found disguised as an Inuwaily.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Inuwaily Sumpervivium's main use is in alcoholic gel mixtures. Since the ability to drink fluids underwater is a challenge, many of the underwater races take the contents of the Inuwaily and mix it with other ingredients, the most famous of which is the Hushed Starlight. Certain Inuwaily farmers have cultivated various strains of the plant using a variety of nutrients and conditions. However, due to the fact that the Inuwaily is alone in its classification of alcohol underwater plants, many people underwater find land-dwelling alcohols to be a luxury.   The alcoholic nature of the plant means that it is often used for disinfection. Most medical kits of the Underwater Kingdoms. come with a pouch filled with straight Inuwaily gel.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

A majority of Inuwaily Sumpervivium are found in the Sea of Shards and are highly sought after. It is not unheard of for artificial brine pools to be created in order to grow them, but their natural habitats are in the brine pools at some of the deepest points in the Sea of Shards.
