Divination Fog

Across the planes of Ifiron, there exists a mysterious phenomenon that scholars refer to as "Divination Fog". This fog only appears when attempting to use divination magic to view certain locations, objects, or creatures. While it is not know what causes it, the fog only seems to appear in relatively fixed locations moving around only slightly. This can cause major disturbances for inhabitants who live in regions where the fog resides.
The difficulty of the fog is that it is incapable of being detected with magic, other than the obscuring effect that it has on divination magic. Many attempts have been made to detect or even clear this fog, but to date none have been able to make any progress.

Manifestation

The fog appears as a thick, inky black cloud often completely obscuring the focus of the spell. Near the edges of the fogs, it is possible to get glimpses of the focus through the cloud.
