Cembreans

Origins: The unnatural offspring and creations of Rethyri Sorcerer-Kings with the arcane knowledge they had gleaned through studying eldritch entities, using their sorcerous sciences to take the attributes of plants, animals and humans and combine them. The first of these creations were nameless, but became known as the @Primogenitors and would be the forerunner of their own species'   History: Eventually the Sorcerer-Kings were overthrown, killed or imprisoned, and the people of Rethyr felt the Cembrean Primogenitors were a connection back to their ancient masters rather than a hallmark of their former rulers' hubris, and formed a totemic pantheon around the worship of them; treating their offspring as holy and representative of the natural order.   Primogenitors:
  • Ainara: The smooth, ageless face of a young woman contrasts with the huge and lethal body, with eyes black and abyssal, feathers as tough as steel. Said to prognosticate calamities and to see her shadow a dire omen. Much more birdlike than most Iduk, but also capable of shifting into a more human shape. Was once the most fecund of the Cembrean Primogenitors, hatching large broods for centuries.
  • -Nyssa: The Ophidian Wyrm, much larger than the average Melusine, said to cause great tremors in her passing underground, or powerful waves in the ocean, explaining the difference between land, swamp and sea based species of Melusine.   -Munoki: Vast fungi based hivemind that grows deep underground, sprouting mushroom forests in various locations that give rise to Enoki   -Undine: Elemental of water, mother of nymphs. Aqua skinned giant who's biological function is to cleanse waters.
