Yutragg the Hunter

Fey God of Forests, Wood Elves, the Wild Hunt, Woodland Animals, and Survival
Yutragg the Hunter is the patron god of the Wood Elves, Treants and Hunters and was said to have created the first animal life to live in the Feywild. He is a god most commonly worshipped in realms dominated by his Wood Elven brethren, but has significant influence throughout rural Melremarque and other non-human kingdoms. Yutragg strongly opposes technological advancement and formal magics, favoring Druids and Clerics who can oppose the rampant spread of civilization. The hierarchy of the Natural World is something that should not be circumvented through arcane or technological means, and Yutragg has a strictly Darwinian mindset concerning who should live or die in society. Simultaneously, Yutragg opposes the artificial constructs of society such as money and private property, preferring to have his Wood Elves live in vast communes where resources are gathered and shared. Yutragg has a strange rivalry and romance with the God of the High Elves, Brynn, and they together have created many of the species that populate all parts of Idris.   TENETS OF YUTRAGG:   Let your strength know no bounds. Hone it and become it.   A species that knows only peace will inevitably be destroyed by one that knows only struggle.   Order is to be sought, society is to be reviled.   One can be mighty as a part of many, not just a part of one.   Own nothing and leave nothing. Let nature preserve itself from indulgence.   SYMBOL OF YUTRAGG: A Pale Elk’s Head
