The Lovers

The Lovers are the many formed god of love, sex, romantic attachment, and passion. Although many other gods lay claim to parts of their domain, they uniquely rule the synthesis of all mortal experience. They are a god perhaps more powerful than any other, said to have been one of the original three progenitors at the true dawn of time from which all the other gods came. All emotion and sensation was created by the Lovers, holding sway over even the hearts of other gods and mortals alike. They represent love in all of its forms, whether that be love of an art or craft, platonic or familial love, or sexual love and desire. They act in a manner unique to everyone, and encourage their followers to simply spread love and liberation wherever they go. An ontologically fickle god, sometimes their methods can result in tragedy or doom, and other times they can lead to joy and triumph.
TENETS OF THE LOVERS:
All must determine who they can love. An act of true evil is to attempt to limit what forms love is acceptable in.
A doomed romance is a romance all the same. Follow your heart wherever it may lead you.
Be open in your passions and emotions, and wear your heart on your sleeve.
Love, in its many forms, conquers all eventually.
The most pure act is an act of selfless love. No god or force can stop it.
