The Lady Clad in Tears

Fey God of Blood, Mortality, Prophecy, Sorrow, Misfortune, the Apocalypse, Endings, and Nihilism.
All things must end, and all will eventually die. This is the fate that the Lady Clad in Tears has foreseen since the dawn of time. She is a god whose gift is to see into infinite futures, each one more tumultuous and tragic than the last. Her tears are wept for all of the countless deaths in the infinite branches of the multiverse that she is powerless to stop, and it was her weeping that softened the elemental forms of the primordial races into flesh and blood; into forms that would end just as swiftly as they began. She was thus ordained as the god to represent mortality, and the fleeting life that all things command. The Lady Clad in Tears is foremost a god of finality and endings, whether that be the burning incineration of the world or its slow heat death. Her followers are Clerics who study her many prophecies, deciphering their meanings to perhaps avert the coming end or perhaps simply make the most of the time they have left. Whatever mortals do, the Lady simply sees and remembers, awaiting the end.   TENETS OF THE LADY CLAD IN TEARS:   Tyrants, empires, heroes, even gods… they all fall to dust and time.   The most we can do for the past is remember it for the infinite futures that yet wait.   Every action that has ever or will ever be taken is predetermined. To fight fate is impossible.   Even if the end is coming, mortals must try to avert it. To struggle and die futility is what it means to be mortal.   I have seen all futures. Some are worse than others, but the cold, dark end is the same.   SYMBOL OF THE LADY CLAD IN TEARS: A bleeding eye.
