Emeria the Skymother

Fey God of the Skies, Birds and Aaracockra, Storms, the Central Wind, and Lightning
Emeria the Skymother is the God of the skies, herald of storms, and lord of clouds. Her birds and Aaracockra take flight around the world on her winds, and the beats of her wings are the origin of all storms on Idris. She often wars with other elemental or seasonal gods for command of the skies and winds, and her victories often manifest in calamitous winds that form hurricanes or tornadoes across the world. To Emeria, the damages her storms wreak on the ground is insignificant. If one did not wish to be blown away by the winds, they would fly on them. It is only through the intervention of other gods that her winds are contained at all, and that the tempest is converted into gentle rain instead of consuming the entire world. Emeria’s philosophy of skybound dominance makes her largely unappealing to most mortal races, but some find solace in the freedom her ideology permits.     TENETS OF EMERIA:   Claim the skies as your own. Know them and become the storm that rages.   Let nothing chain or shackle you. Be as free as a tempest.   A storm moves patiently, gathering strength before moving with blistering speed.   Birds must sometimes move as a flock. Look to others to attain even greater heights.   If you are fast or fierce enough to take something, take it as yours. Whoever laid claim to it was weaker than you.   SYMBOL OF EMERIA: A Whirling Tempest
