Avalon the Moonlit

Fey God of the Moon, the Ocean, Travel, Salt, Water, and Life.
Avalon the Moonlit, bringer of waves and first to create, is the avatar and god of the moon, the oceans, and the tides. During the formation of the world, Avalon harvested starlight from the night sky to create the silver moon, eternally chaotic and changing from the celestial energies inside of it. Exultant in her work, she would cry tears of joy that formed the basis for all water and would become rivers and oceans. Avalon’s touch is therefore felt over all life, as her gift for mortals would be sculpted by the other gods to form the races. Because of this influence, Avalon holds domain over not just lakes and tides but every plant, creature, and mortal that yet lives, and thus has a potent hatred for undead, were-beasts, or other night creatures. This hatred has her waters, light, and salt often castigating or wounding accursed beings. Her clerics are often healers, wayfarers, or sailors who use her powers to shelter and guide, being especially favored in desert lands where Avalon’s gift is scarce.   TENETS OF AVALON:   Change as the tides do, and always be moving to other things.   All of my children are interconnected and life is sacred. Have mercy, but sometimes those who would take life must be slain themselves.   Bring water and light to those without either.   Care not for the traditions or values of others. So long as you are doing good in the world that is enough.   When your duties have been fulfilled, rest and drink deeply.   SYMBOL OF AVALON: The Moon under waves
