Akembe the Autumn Harvest

Fey God of Autumn, Spirits, Hunger, the Harvest, Wealth, and Balance.
Akembe is the god of Autumn, the warden before winter, and waker of spirits during the Harvest Moon. They are a mercurial god that embodies both the wealth and bounty a fruitful harvest brings and the ravenous hunger of a famine before winter. Akembe serves as a herald of the cold winter by aging and withering the world, but also aids in bringing their followers assistance in preparation for it. On the second full moon of each autumn, Akembe leads a procession of spirits from the spirit realm into the world to exchange ancient lore and gifts with the living, but much like the harvest itself, ungratefulness to the undead can be met with curses or banes. Akembe is lastly a god of wealth, gilding the collection of the spoils of summer and endowing gold and food to loyal servants.   TENETS OF AKEMBE:   Cherish the bounty of the harvest, but do not hoard it. Else the next harvest shall bring no bounty at all.   Hunger is the most fundamental motivation of all creatures. Remember that.   Be grateful and skeptical to those who offer gifts, least of all the dead.   No light or dark, sun or cold, feast or famine, lasts forever.   Do not waste food. If you cannot eat your fill you did not deserve it to begin with.   SYMBOL OF AKEMBE: A Half-Eaten Apple
