Valaeria

The general northwest of the mainland. It is mostly composed of the strip of plains that border the (name here) mountains. It also includes a massive forest and some other smaller woodlands. The Valae river winds through this region.

Geography

The Valeraean Woodland is a strange mixture of all three types of forests (rainforest, coniferous, deciduous). The trees are unimaginably large and towering, there is an enormous variety of plant and animal life, and it is a tranquil and undisturbed place. The canopy is thick and lush, yet a perfect amount of natural light filters through to the forest floor. There is a large river that flows through the center of the forest, making it a perfect water source for the Florivian community that dwells there. The plains are golden, swaying and seemingly endless. There is a small shrub here and there, but it is otherwise a barren expanse of land. There are some herding colonies that inhabit the plains, so you will see lots of livestock dotting the land. The Valae river is one of the biggest/longest rivers on the mainland, and cuts through the whole of the Valeraean region.

Fauna & Flora

The Valeraean Woodland is home to an uncountable variety of plant life. Its main inhabitants are the Florivians, but it contains many smaller creatures and a couple species of dangerous monsters, including Neonyms. Mostly sheep, cattle, and horses inhabit the plains. Since the mountains are the boundary with the Sky Kingdom, you might see the occasional dragon wings above the clouds.

Natural Resources

Most of the natural resources come from the mountains, mostly stone and precious metals. There is a mining colony that dwells under the mountain, and is one of the leading exports of precious metals on the mainland.
