Likely an artifact dating back to the late Acheronian era. It appears to be a knife with three press-keys on a hollowed-out hilt. A mouthpiece on the cross-guard, as well as an opening at the base of the pommel, reveals that it is actually a woodwind musical instrument, at least in part. Audio recordings reveal that the object is able to play more than 3 notes (possibly via Magikinetics, but that would be incredibly inefficient). There are no currently known Acheronian records of an artifact of this make, leading to the conclusion it is likely one of a kind.
The way in which it can be “summoned” and “dismissed” consistently clearly indicates it is of a Spiritus-based nature.
Whether the effect is triggered by being swung or by some other means, it can create a projectile of sorts (flat, crescent-like in appearance). This is has been referred to internally as a "Sonic Blade", and can create a unique Magikinetic feedback on impact (sparks, smoke). This has, as of yet, been a non-fatal attack on people. Machines are not so lucky.
These features would make it valuable among collectors, and enable researchers to reinforce information gleaned from previously recovered artifacts. However, footage recorded of the instrument performing betrays something extraordinary.
When viewed through Anima-imaging, the act of playing the instrument has been observed manipulating Anima in the air to seemingly create Magikinetic effects. Not only has this never been observed before, it was previously thought impossible via Spiritus. An 11th hour Acheronian attempt to reproduce Hadean techniques? Regardless, the commercial and military applications are extreme and diverse.
A high value target, and a high priority research subject.

The masked motorcycle bomber seen with this artifact is considered extremely dangerous. Do not attempt to confront them yourself. They have killed, and will likely kill again! The authorities are offering a substantial reward for any information that leads to the arrest, or neutralization of this terriorist, and the recovery of the artifact.
