Icacia is the primary setting of the campaign, a vast archipelago with a diverse population, tied together by shared troubles. In a bygone age, Icacia was the home of Archmage Asorin, a powerful wizard obsessed with unlocking the great mysteries of the cosmos. Asorin experimented with wild magic, called storms and drastically changed the landscape. Today, Icacia goes by another name: The Wandering Isles. Thousands of years have passed since Asorin's experiments, but the effects on the land remain. Icacia is constantly changing. Mysterious mists and foul storms obscure vision and bring danger throughout the seas and islands never seem to hold the same geographic location for long. Island nations make due with what they have, carving out niche markets for local game or for natural resources. Trade is facilitated by merchant heroes, great seafarers with the skill to navigate Icacia's trecherous waters. More famous still are the adventurers who explore fabled ruins of lost civilisations lost to the mist and storm. The PCs were brought up in Icacia and for one reason or another find themselves aboard the "Veracity" a famous merchant ship set for Ironhull, one of the largest port cities in Icacia.
