Ibrallos

A lonely continent functioning on the idea of the bone cycle, where the gods of function and decay are locked in constant struggle against each other. Here, the fundamental structure of all animate creatures' physical beings are always in high demand. In civilized places, your bones are reclaimed by your village after you pass on. Not everywhere do the inhabitants of this continent wait for you to die, however. Grassy knolls and tall forests eventually give way to less fortunate ecosystems, and in these shadowed dips, opportunistic scavengers are always waiting.   In a strange contrast, legend has it that large swaths of land known as the Ascads sit still and silent, devoid of any plant and animal life, and covered in an open graveyard of bones -- wealth beyond anything one person could imagine. None who go looking for the Ascads ever return, however.   Ibrallos is surrounded by endless water. No one on the continent is very sure that other land masses exist out there, somewhere hidden beyond the waves of the horizon. Few have ever gone to see for themselves.
