Oakspire

Oakspire is the largest city, and the economic capitol of the Fae-Ni (non-fae) peoples in Iarwynn. It is the largest producer of dairy products (a necessity for life in Iarwynn), and as such is the richest of the Fae-Ni cities. Oakspire is a vast melting pot, where peoples of all races and creeds come together.

Oakspire is an oligarchy, controlled by several old families, including the Udersmythes and the Gildhornes.

Industry & Trade

The economic system of the cities and towns in Iarwynn are based entirely on the production of dairy, and Oakspire is the largest producer in the realm. Dairy products are shipped all over Iarwynn from this walled city. Owning a cow is considered quite the status symbol, as they are very expensive. Only the upper-middle and high classes can afford them. The wealthiest members of society are the two milk baron families, the Gildhornes and the Udersmithes. Between the two of them, they own 90% of the cows and bulls in the city, and produce the vast majority of dairy products. The two families have been feuding for ages, constantly trying to put the other out of business and gain a monopoly on the dairy market.
