Hyrule Castle

It is the seat of Hyrule's monarchical government and the home of the Royal Family of Hyrule.

To provide a home and place of government for the Hylian Royal Family.

The Malice that once surrounded the castle has been cleared and the pillars have crumbled away.

History

During the Second Calamity, the castle was overrun by the once allied Guardians and most of the royal family and a significant number of knights were killed. Then Calamity Ganon took over the castle and spread Malice throughout the land while the heavily wounded Link lay in the Shrine of Ressurection for 100 years. Once he awoke and freed the Divine Beasts before finally slaying Calamity Ganon with the aid of Princess Zelda, the land was freed from the long-running evil.
Since then, several Kings and Queens have sat on the throne as the kingdom painstakingly rebuilt all that it had lost.
