The Skirts

The Skirts are named both euphemistically, and for their location on the outskirts of the town to make for a secretive location for its primary good: sex. The Skirts have more brothels than legitimate businesses, but need never fear the prohibition of their trade, as most of the male council members enjoy special privileges at the pleasure houses. The Boroughmaster of the Skirts, known only by her title, "Madame," is regarded as the weakest of the council. This, however, shows just how arrogant the powers-that-be-are of the ears that listen to their pillow talk and sleep murmurings in the soft beds of the brothels.

Demographics

The female population consists almost entirely of courtesans, while the small male population resides in the area only for work as bouncers or guards.
