Hy-Brasil

There is said to be an island to the east of Ireland; one that is shrouded in mist, unreachable and undetectable by mortal machinations. No proof apart from legend has ever been found, despite the commonly held belief that the island reveals itself once every seven years. This is the isle of Hy-Brasil.   In truth, the island has been reached many times, as it is peopled by the descendants of many a wayward sailing-ship. The island has become a home itself, and very rarely do its inhabitants attempt to leave her shores. Along with the human inhabitants, Hy-Brasil has its own array of spirits and Sidhe. These beings range from good-natured and playful to downright malevolent, and their relationship with humans has always been strained.   Lately, there has been unrest in the deeper places of the world. Fair folk of all sorts are becoming restless, coming into contact, accidental or no, with humans far more often than before. It in unclear why the spirits are in an uproar, but it may prove dangerous for every inhabitant of this hidden isle.
