The Society

Officially known as The Society of Being, Knowledge, Reason, Morality, and Conscious Experience, The Society is the only institution of higher learning in Empyria. The Society is located in the center of East Harbor, in East Bijou.

Structure

The Society has a Head Dean that controls all aspects of the university. There are also lesser deans over each college within the university. Individual professors answer to the lesser deans who in turn answer to the Head Dean.

Culture

The culture of the Society is one of mutual learning, studying the lesser gods, and advancing in healing.

History

Five education minded men and women met in a tavern on what would become the university green. Each specialized in a particular lesser god and through their conversations with each other an idea of shared knowledge was born. Each of these men and women founded a college for their respective lesser god and began teaching what they knew to anyone who would listen. From there the college blossomed.

Demography and Population

Due to its location, the majority of students at the Society are East Bijouans. However, all are welcome and each country is well represented.

Technological Level

The Society is the most technologically and scientifically advanced institution in Empyria.

Infrastructure

Most of the Society buildings are marble and granite from Alyeska.
