Paean

Paean (pea-un) is the lesser god of education, health, hygiene and healing. His evil eye is thought to ward off evil. He is evoked when the vital areas of the body need additional protection or when creating armor for those areas. 

Most Bijouans don’t bother with religion, seeing science as their true savior. Still, images of Paean can be found in contemporary art and architecture.
