Jarome
Jarome is a small mining community located in the Arbiter Mountains in northeastern Striceland.
The major vein of ore in Jarome is of copper, however, there were other, smaller, veins of tin, lead, and sulphur. The mine is so plentiful that the slag washed in the river has turned the river green south of the mine.
Jarome is built on the side of the mountain. Where flat ground can’t be found, buildings are built out over the side of the mountain, using strong logs as stilts.
Jarome is named after the donkey of the long forgotten prospector who originally staked claim to the mine.

Demographics
Jarome is populated by miners, their families, and company men.
Government
Law and order is maintained by the company men.
Defences
Defences in Jarome consist of the local militia and hard nosed miners armed with their lethal tools.
Industry & Trade
Jarome itself stays solvent due to the influx of cash, in the form of payroll, from the mining company. That payroll is then spent at the company's stores, taverns, and inns, funneling it back to the company.
Infrastructure
Jarome's infrastructure is just enough to classify it as a village rather than a camp. Roads are dusty, muddy, and rutted. Buildings are cobbled together with rough lumber. The city, housing, and businesses are owned by the mining company.
Assets
The only permanent assets in Jarome are the stores, equipment, and labor owned by the company.
