Huldath

Huldath is an unforgiving world, not because it is cruel or unkind to its inhabitants, it is cruel because it does not favor anyone inhabitant over another. Beasts feeding on townsfolk have just the same claim to live on the land as eagles and griffons soaring through the skies.   There is of course the other matter that All of Huldath can be astoundingly beautiful, with vistas and scenes that would bring a welling of emotion in even those hardened by battle. There also exists beauty in the mundane, and, in the face of this uncaring world, the love and compassion people show each other. This is often and almost always brutally countered by those who would rule by iron hands and rod than by love and compassion.   Tyrants, Emperors, Kings and other leaders have risen and fallen as the Tide in Huldath, the ebbing and flowing of time all but washing many of the memories of the deep past away.
