Horen

In the world of Horen, there are 5 major continents: Cedies, Niorsurth, Muvai, Meros, and Irmioss. These land masses stand firm in their position reaching high into the sky like the teeth of some subterrainian beast. Connected deep below the surface of the water these five continents cover a sprawling underground landscape filled with uncharted twists and turns. Once upon a time the 5 were one continent known as Horen. To this day people still refer to all the lands as Horen, some out of respect to their history, and others out of hope that one day the 5 could be 1 again.   It has been over a thousand years since the Great Divide, and the majority of the civilized world recon their timeframe from the time since the moment the 5 continents split from one another. Current year is 1025AD (After Divide). Legends and myths abound about the world before the divide. Some say each continent gave power to a great monster and by man dividing the lands heroes were able to conquer the evil held within the central land, Irmioss. Others claim the gods split the land so they could enjoy their time away from one another.   Every 500 years the cycle of decension restarts. The gods of Horen come down in disguise to get to know the people of the world more and get involved in the activities of man more intimately. In the past their interference has done great things for the progress of history and sometimes all they have served to do is increase their own fellowship. Being 25 years after the 500 year cycle is due to renew the gods are due to be discovered amongst the realm of men once again.
