Hope's End

Hope's end is the last planet left during "the end of all days", the end of the universe. The sky of Hope's End is completely dark, as there are no stars or other celestial bodies left.   There are two kinds of humans on Hope's End: "the civilmen" , regular humans, and "the wildmen", which are a race of humans that has devolved to an animalistic state. The civilmen build gated communities to stay safe from the cannibalistic wildmen.   Most of the civilmen have no access to electricity or machinery, and they have reverted to an old-fashioned lifestyle. The elite live in their own small communities and still use advanced technology.   The people in Hope's End have lost all will to build or develop their society. Since the end of the universe is near, in their culture life is seen as just waiting for the end.
